Sports Coaching

Sports Coaching

Erich's experience as a young sports talent, who in his early years suffered a severe back injury as well, as his later professional and private experience, is intrinsic to how we interpret Sports Coaching.

The coach's role for a team or a single player will be many, from instructor, assessor, friend, mentor, facilitator, chauffeur, demonstrator, adviser, supporter, fact finder, motivator, counselor, organizer, and planner.

What we offer under Sports Coaching goes beyond those tasks.

Through the combination of:

  • The positive coaching method
  • systemic coaching
  • mental training
  • sports psychology
  • individual psychology
  • agile methodologies
  • and the strategy of the aggregation of marginal gains

we can help you find new ways to:
  • find your way back to sports after a time-off
  • overcome sports stagnation
  • find new ways of motivation
  • stick to your plans (volition)
  • develop resilience (bouncing back in track when obstacles appear)
  • help your team find the FLOW
  • communicate with your players for the benefit of all
  • design development plans for your players
  • find the right tone of communication

We offer the following coaching settings for all ages:

For players:
  • Improve your results (through new habits and the strategy of the aggregation of marginal gains)
  • Re-entry into sports after a time-off
  • Personal objectives development
  • Putting objectives into action
  • The power within me
  • What is fun? Why does it help me improve myself?

For coaches:
Concerning sports, the coach's role is to create the right conditions for learning. Help them become better. It is also to find ways of motivating the athletes. Most athletes are highly motivated, and therefore the task is to maintain that motivation and to generate excitement and enthusiasm to create the volition necessary to achieve the desired objectives.

Many coaches undergo training programs during their careers. However, with time, the blade becomes blurry. We offer the following topics as training units or aspects of coaching for coaches:
  • Team and single-player motivation, volition, and resilience development
  • Team communication:
    • Me and the team
    • Between players
    • Me and the organization
    • Player feedback on her/his development
  • Setting objectives and helping the player follow-through
  • How to ease the way of a player's long absence back to the team
  • Improving myself constantly (the power of habits)
  • The power within me
  • Why does fun play a role for me and the team?

For teams:
  • Team communication
  • Team development
  • Team objectives development
  • Team objectives vs. Personal objectives
  • Feedback culture
  • The power within each of us
  • Let us have some fun! Meaning of fun in teams

The process we undergo together is our responsibility. The results you achieve will depend on what you need and how you put your solutions into action.
